Best BPM Partner is Werfen’s highest award given to distributors and partners in Southeast Asia who have made great contributions to the implementation of PBM in Vietnam.
Patient Blood Management (PBM) is a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach to optimising the care of patients who might need a blood transfusion. PBM puts the patient at the heart of decisions made about blood transfusion to ensure they receive the best treatment and avoidable, inappropriate use of blood and blood components is reduced. Patient Blood Management can be beneficial in surgical settings and in non-surgical settings with the goal of reducing the risk of needing a blood transfusion and improving the outcome for those who require a blood transfusion.

The ROTEM test is an integral part of the second pillar of PBM to minimize blood loss. The ROTEM test allows rapid assessment of coagulopathy, allows targeted therapy, helps stop bleeding, and reduces blood transfusion.
