The bag set is used to collect the cell layer rich in stem cells from umbilical cord blood, through the process of centrifugation and pressing on an automatic blood component separator. The bag set has a top-bottom structure; allowing the separation and pressing of the stem cell-rich layer without the need for sedimentation solutions like HES.
