From September 21 to 23, 2016, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in coordination with the Vietnam Hematology and Blood Transfusion Association organized the 2016 National Hematology and Blood Transfusion Scientific Conference at Muong Thanh Hotel (Thanh Hoa). This conference is held every two years to summarize the professional activities of the hematology and blood transfusion sector nationwide, thereby setting the direction for the sector in the coming time to make practical contributions to healthcare and protecting public health. In addition, the conference also created opportunities for staff and experts in the hematology and blood transfusion sector both domestically and internationally to meet, exchange experiences, and contribute to professional improvement.
This conference was organized on a fairly large scale with the participation of more than 700 domestic delegates and nearly 10 international experts from countries with advanced hematology and blood transfusion fields such as the USA, Australia, Ireland, Singapore, and Thailand. At the conference, experts presented reports and papers that were quite in-depth and updated from theory to application, especially in the fields of stem cells, molecular biology, targeted therapy, and the application of new technology in screening diseases transmitted through blood transfusion…
