Medcomtech organizes a seminar on “Application of leukocyte-filtered blood products and pooled platelets in blood transfusion according to GMP-EU standards”

On July 19 and 20, 2019, at Kien Giang General Hospital, Medcomtech JSC along with representatives from Macopharma conducted and evaluated the process of collecting and preparing blood components using the 350ml top-bottom blood bag system, leukocyte filter kit for pooled platelets, and the MPS blood component separator. They also organized a seminar on the application of leukocyte-filtered blood products and pooled platelets in blood transfusion according to GMP-EU standards.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Do Huu Tri, Deputy Director of the hospital.

The report received significant attention from doctors and medical staff, with questions being answered by experts and company representatives during the seminar.

At the end of the seminar, Dr. Do Huu Tri, Deputy Director of the hospital, highlighted many outstanding advantages in the preparation of pooled platelets and other blood products using the top-bottom blood bag system, blood component separator, and leukocyte filter kit. Both parties will continue to collaborate and develop a roadmap to apply these processes in practice in the future.
