On the afternoon of September 4, 2020, at the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center under the Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital, the representative office of Medcomtech Joint Stock Company in Ho Chi Minh City organized a Presentation of the Hb301 Hemoglobin Meter manufactured by HemoCue/Sweden. The report was attended by Dr. Trần Thị Như Tố – Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center, along with numerous doctors, technicians, and nurses from the Center.
During the discussion, Pharmacist Đoàn Văn Tiến – Head of the representative office of Medcomtech Joint Stock Company in Ho Chi Minh City shared the Ministry of Health's regulations on measuring Hemoglobin (Hb) levels for blood donors, the application of Hb level measurement before blood donation in Vietnam as well as worldwide. Additionally, Pharmacist Tiến introduced the features and outstanding characteristics of the Hb 301 Meter System by Hemocue, and provided usage instructions for the technicians and nurses of the Center.
Summarizing Pharmacist Tiến's presentation, the Center's representative Dr. Trần Thị Như Tố – Director of the Center highly appreciated the advantages and benefits that the Invasive Hemoglobin Meter HemoCue brings, and expressed the desire for the Center to immediately equip the blood collection teams with it to aim towards building Blood Reception Safety at the Center.
