From November 16-19, 2019, the Medcomtech Company delegation along with some guests attended the 30th ISBT Regional Blood Transfusion Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand.
During the 3-day conference, there were numerous scientific reports and workshops for experts in the field of blood transfusion to meet and exchange experiences. This was also an opportunity for young presenters to accumulate knowledge and demonstrate their understanding through their presentations at the conference. Alongside the reports and workshops, many suppliers of blood transfusion products worldwide also participated in exhibitions and introductions at the conference's side booths.
Participating in this conference, Medcomtech, in collaboration with Macopharma/France—a provider of solutions and products in the field of blood transfusion—conducted a specialized report display on “Using 350ml top-bottom blood bags with integrated leukocyte filters in the collection and preparation of blood components.” This is the first time globally that the top-bottom blood bag with an integrated leukocyte filter with a capacity of 350ml has been used in research. The research results showed that blood components, especially leukocyte-reduced red blood cell concentrates, provide good quality and significantly increase safety in blood transfusion.
The specialized report was displayed at the conference from November 16 to 19, 2019.
This was also an occasion for the company to connect with partners and manufacturers worldwide to seek the most advanced products contributing to the development of the blood transfusion-hematology sector in Vietnam.
