On the morning of November 11, 2019, at the Interventional Cardiology Department of Chợ Rẫy Hospital, the Ho Chi Minh City branch of Medcomtech JSC was honored to organize a scientific report session on Antiplatelet Drug Response Testing using the Verify Now system, which is the most accurate system currently available.
With the participation of the Head of Department – Dr. Nguyễn Thượng Nghĩa and more than 10 doctors from the department, Dr. Mai Trí Luận – from the Interventional Cardiology Department of Chợ Rẫy presented an overview of platelet function, drug resistance mechanisms, the drawbacks of current tests, the advantages of the Verify Now test, and its outstanding features.
The VerifyNow system allows for the optimization of patient results with the VerifyNow Aspirin Test measuring the patient's platelet response to aspirin and the VerifyNow PRUTest helping to determine patient response to P2Y12 receptor-related antiplatelet drugs. Notably, the test has high accuracy with the system using the light transmission aggregometry (LTA) principle, requiring no sample processing, eliminating user errors in sample analysis.
After the introduction session, Dr. Nguyễn Thượng Nghĩa highly appreciated the VerifyNow test and affirmed that it is the most accurate antiplatelet drug response test currently available, recommending that doctors should use it instead of the tests currently in use. Additionally, the results of the VerifyNow test provide treatment guidance, which is one of the most important factors needed in the clinical department.
