On December 21, 2017, Medcomtech JSC was honored to host a scientific seminar at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases with the participation of Dr. Hoàng Văn Tuyết – Deputy Director, along with many department leaders and leading doctors of the hospital. At the seminar, the doctors discussed microvascular coagulopathy, introduced the ROTEM® delta thromboelastometry analyzer and its application in microvascular coagulopathy.
The seminar began with Dr. Trần Thị Kiều My presenting topics related to microvascular coagulopathy, thrombotic thrombocytopenic disorders, emphasizing issues of hypercoagulability and hypocoagulability in sepsis and DIC. – Following that, the Rotem device was briefly reintroduced to all the doctors at the seminar, particularly highlighting its high applicability in cases of sepsis and disseminated intravascular coagulation.
To help doctors better understand the application of Rotem, Dr. Kiều My presented clinical case reports at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases involving Rotem tests, including cases diagnosed with septic shock/sepsis due to S.suis/DIC, gastrointestinal bleeding, cirrhosis, etc. Through these clinical cases, the Rotem device gained more trust and affirmation from the hospital's doctors regarding its treatment effectiveness and economic efficiency for patients.
The program concluded with a discussion session, addressing questions from the doctors attending the seminar with numerous inquiries related to the clinical application of Rotem.
