On April 16, 2021, the specialized seminar "Organ Preservation Solutions in Organ Transplantation and Cardiac Surgery" took place at the Mellia Hotel, Hanoi. The seminar was organized by Medcomtech Joint Stock Company in collaboration with leading doctors in the field of organ transplantation and cardiac surgery to discuss the role of organ preservation solutions in organ transplantation and cardiac surgery and new techniques in organ transplantation.
The seminar gathered doctors and leading experts in the field of organ transplantation and cardiac surgery from major hospitals such as Viet Duc Hospital, 108 Military Central Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Hue Central Hospital... under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Nghia – Director of the Organ Transplant Center – Viet Duc Hospital and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Sinh Hien – Director of Hanoi Heart Institute.
At the beginning of the seminar, chairpersons Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Nghia and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Sinh Hien introduced the role of organ preservation solutions in organ transplantation and cardiac surgery. The thematic reports from Viet Duc Hospital and Hue Central Hospital provided information on the clinical application of PlegiStore Organ Preservation Solution and results showed that the quality of the product is suitable for practical use.
Additionally, the seminar introduced the Hypothermic Oxygenated Liver Perfusion (HOPE) method performed by the VitaSmart machine manufactured by Bridge to Life. This is a new organ function recovery perfusion method that helps enhance organ function, increase graft survival, reduce post-transplant complications, and shorten the patient's hospital stay. The HOPE method and VitaSmart machine received special attention from doctors due to their high applicability and the benefits they offer.
